Victory in Paris: Novak Djokovic French Open Champion

World tennis champion Novak Djokovic won his first Roland Garros title of his career, after defeating Briton Andy Murray in the final with 3:6, 6:1, 6:2, 6:4, reported Tanjug, reported the Patria News Agency.

Djokovic was fortunate to win the only Grand Slam title he was missing in his fourth final in Paris, and his 12th overall.

At the same time, he became only the second tennis player to hold all four major trophies simultaneously (after Don Budge and Rod Laver) and only the eighth to have won all Grand Slams.

Novak dealt another heavy blow to his rival, increasing his lead in head-to-head duels to 24:10, and recorded his 13th victory in the last 15 matches against Murray.

He achieved the title at the "Philippe Chatrier" stadium after a comeback in great style, defeating the world number 2 with dominant play after losing the first set and after three hours of play.

Djokovic started the match like a dream, winning all four points on the Briton's serve and immediately breaking him, but Murray did not falter and broke back in the very next game, then strung together three more games for a 4:1 lead.

Things completely turned around after that, Djokovic played furiously and easily got back into the game, conceding only one game in the second set.

Djokovic did not want to stop there, hitting winners from all positions and putting great pressure on Murray's serve, which resulted in a large number of breaks in Novak's favor, for a 2:1 comeback.

Djokovic played with increasing confidence, breaking serve at the start of the fourth set, but missed the opportunity to seal the match on his serve in the eighth game.

However, he corrected everything in the 10th game after a bit of drama and two missed match points, but with the third, he finally broke the great barrier called Roland Garros.

The French Open was played for a prize fund of 32 million euros, and Djokovic as the winner receives two million euros.
