Swimming Club Velež Won 10 Medals

(Patria) - Swimming Club "Velež" participated in a competition in Mostar yesterday and
achieved a notable result.

The Water Sports Club “Orka” organized the seventh international swimming meet “Orka Arena Cup” at the City Pool in Mostar.
294 competitors from 21 clubs from Denmark and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated.

At this meet, Swimming Club “Velež” was represented by 22 swimmers,
who were: Bakir Bajgorić, Adnan Žmiro, Ena Maksumić, Danis
Alikalfić, Nedim Žujo, Timam Ramić, Džana Bajgorić, Arman Periz, Fatih
Agović, Sergej Đurić, Ajnur Talić, Fatih Boškailo, Danja Alikalfić,
Kerim Hadžimusić, Ajna Talić, Selma Mezić, Salih Agović, Ema Penava,
Hamza Tipura, Emin Begić, Abdullah Marić, and Amila Crnalić. Our swimmers
achieved excellent results and won 10 medals, of which two
are gold, three are silver, and five are bronze.

Danis Alikalfić (2006) had a very good competition and won
three medals. He was best in the 50-meter breaststroke, where he won a gold
medal. He won two silver medals in the 50-meter
freestyle and 50-meter backstroke disciplines. In the total points, Danis placed
third in his category.

Adnan Žmiro (2006) also had a very good performance. He won three
medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze. He was best in the
50-meter freestyle discipline, second in the 50-meter butterfly, and placed
third in the 50-meter backstroke discipline. In the total points, Adnan was
second in his category.

Ena Maksumić (2006) swam excellently today and won two
medals in the end. Both medals are bronze, and Ena was third in the 50-meter
butterfly and 50-meter breaststroke disciplines. In the total points, Ena placed
third in her category.

Timam Ramić (2006) won two medals. In excellent races and with
very good results in the 50-meter breaststroke and 50-meter
butterfly disciplines, he won two bronze medals.

Velež swimmers do not have much time to rest, as they are expected to compete in Trebinje next weekend.
