Plenum of the Consortium Logistics BiH: Protests to continue until demands are met, urgent session of the Council of Ministers requested

(Patria) - At the session of the Presidency of the Consortium Logistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a unanimous decision was made to continue protests until the demands of the transport sector are met, with an announcement of the expansion of supply chain blockades.

At the same time, an amendment to the Negotiation Platform was adopted, which was confirmed as an official document and a unified negotiation position of the sector towards BiH institutions and international partners. The Consortium states that concrete and measurable results are sought, not declarative promises.

As a first step, the Plenum demands an urgent session of the BiH Council of Ministers with a single agenda item – the adoption of measures to fulfill the first phase of demands. Priorities include the return of excise duties and taxes to transporters, a 50% discount on the use of highways and roads, VAT refunds from EU countries, fiscal relief in RS and FBiH, and the acceleration of border and customs procedures.

Additionally, changes to the Rulebook on issuing licenses and driver qualification cards are requested, implementation of the previously promised 14 points, as well as diplomatic activities towards EU member states and the European Commission for the full implementation of the AETR agreement.

The Plenum particularly emphasized the need for unified customs and inspection procedures, digitalization of processes, elimination of double checks and waiting at borders, and the introduction of on-duty inspection teams during public holidays.

"Any further delay deepens the crisis in supply chains and jeopardizes the economic stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina," the Consortium's statement reads.
