Plenković at ceremony: Joint forces of Croatian Army and HVO with support of BiH Army liberated Jajce

(Patria) - On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the liberation of our city of Jajce, a ceremony was organized in this city today, attended by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. The ceremony is also attended by the leadership of HDZ, led by Dragan Čović.

As Plenković stated, today marks the 30th anniversary of Operation "Maestral" and the liberation of the royal city of Jajce.

"We are participating in a ceremony of thanks to Croatian defenders and in a parade of Croatian forces veterans. With deep respect, we remember their courage and sacrifice.

On September 13, 1995, joint forces of the Croatian Army and HVO carried out this operation and liberated Jajce after a three-year occupation.

As then, Croatia stands with Croats in BiH and cares about their position. We are the strongest supporters of BiH's European path and advocate for reform processes that will ensure equality for all three constituent peoples," Plenković stated on X.

The commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Jajce began on Friday with the raising of the BiH flag on the fortress, organized by the coordination of veteran associations of the Army of RBiH Jajce and the Association of Homeland War Veterans of HVO Jajce.

"Dear fellow citizens, by preserving the memories of the proud September days of freedom, we are building a happier future for all of us together. We congratulate you on the Days of Liberation of the Municipality of Jajce," said the Mayor of Jajce Municipality Edin Hozan and the President of the Municipal Council of Jajce Josip Topić.
