Pivić: Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton is working, while Kasumović takes credit

(Patria) - The Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović, boasted today about the asphalting of the Zenica-Smetovi road, approximately three kilometers long, deliberately omitting the fact that the funds for these works were provided by the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC), announced the Prime Minister of ZDC, Nezir Pivić.

Pivić points out that this is not the first time Kasumović has misled citizens, as the current ZDC Government has effectively financed the largest infrastructure projects in the city of Zenica.

- For the road to Smetovi alone, we have allocated over 800,000 KM in the last two years, and financed the bulk of the costs for the construction of the Eco House.

We allocated 3.5 million KM for the new Emergency Medical Services building, and built numerous local clinics and roads throughout the city. Throughout this process, we have consistently encountered blockades from Mayor Kasumović.

For years, he has been blocking projects at the Zenica Cantonal Hospital, slowing down the implementation of road projects, and the latest is an attempt to slow down the started construction of the suburban section of the main city highway in Zenica, on the sections through the settlements of Poljice and Raspotočje.

The ZDC Government is determined to continue investing in all cities and municipalities, in order to create better living and working conditions for all citizens, with a special focus on large ongoing and planned infrastructure projects in the area of Zenica, as the seat of ZDC - concluded Pivić.
