Pivić with ministers visits Olovo: Support for development projects important for citizens, new digital mammograph operational

(Patria) - A delegation of the ZDK Government visited the Municipality of Olovo today, where they discussed with Mayor Đemal Memagić and his associates, as well as the representative in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Fahrudin Čolaković, about joint cooperation between the two levels of government and development projects.

In addition to Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, the ZDK Government delegation also included Minister of Health Aida Salčinović and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić.



Pivić emphasized that cooperation with local self-government units is of great importance because citizens realize the largest volume of rights and needs at the local level.

- Even development and fair distribution of resources are among the key policies of the ZDK Government. At the beginning of the year, when we adopt programs for the expenditure of funds, we want to assess the priorities of the municipalities in order to jointly commit to projects that bring the greatest benefit to our citizens - said Pivić.

Mayor Memagić thanked them for their support, stating that the main priorities of the Municipality of Olovo are the construction of a new thermal water well, which will open better prospects for spa and recreational tourism, enable the use of thermal water for heating the city zone, as well as an alternative supply of drinking water.



The municipality is also committed to the project of expanding the capacity of the "Aquaterm" spa, developing the business zone, as well as projects in the field of tourism to utilize its rich tourist and natural potentials.

Development projects have had significant financial support from the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton. Last year alone, through the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, KM 350,000 was directed to the Municipality of Olovo, of which a significant portion was approved for the new thermal well, and the project of building a new elementary school in Olovske Luke also has significant support.



The latest significant investment is the co-financing of the procurement of a digital mammograph at the Olovo Health Center. The value of the purchased device is KM 400,000, of which the Government, through the Ministry of Health, allocated KM 200,000.

During the delegation's visit to this institution, Minister of Health Aida Salčinović stated that the goal is to strengthen prevention and that with the purchase of a modern digital mammograph, which will be available to patients from this week, the diagnostics of women's health have been brought to an enviable level.



It was announced that the ZDK Government will also support the project of replacing the old boiler room with heat pumps and pellet boilers, which in subsequent phases would include the replacement of complete heating installations in the Health Center.
