(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Nezir Pivić and Speaker of the ZDK Assembly Ćazim Huskić sent congratulations on the occasion of May 1st, International Workers' Day.

Pivić and Huskić emphasized that this day symbolizes the historical struggle and sacrifice of the labor movement worldwide for fairer working conditions and greater workers' rights.

"This holiday is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of work, workers' rights, and the contribution of each individual to the development of society.

The work and effort of all workers are the foundation of the economic and social progress of our canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a whole.

Pivić and Huskić expressed their support for the workers of Nova željezara Zenica in their fight to preserve jobs and steel production.
