Pivić and Huskić Congratulate Zenica-Doboj Canton Lily Day

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and Speaker of the
Assembly Ćazim Huskić sent congratulations on the occasion of April 6th - Lily Day of the
Zenica-Doboj Canton.

- With deep respect, remembrance, and pride, we pay tribute to the
bravest defenders. Lily Day is not just a reminder of an award, it is a message that the peace we live in today is not accidental,
but deserved, defended, and paid for in blood. Therefore, it is the duty of society and
institutions to cherish the memory and pass it on to new generations -
they stated in their congratulatory message.

The Golden Lily badge was the highest wartime recognition of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and
Herzegovina during the defense-liberation war from 1992 to
1995. It was awarded to members of the ARBiH who particularly distinguished themselves in armed resistance against the aggressor, contributed to the expansion of free
parts of BiH, and undertook actions in which their personal courage and sacrifice were evident.

The Golden Lily was awarded to 1782 members of the ARBiH, of which
982 members were posthumously awarded. From the Third Corps of the ARBiH, which
covered the largest part of the current territory of the Zenica-Doboj Canton,
there were about 277 recipients of the Golden Lily.

The central ceremony on the occasion of April 6th - Lily Day of the Zenica-
Doboj Canton will be held today in Breza, and the organizer
of the program is the Association of Recipients of the Highest Wartime Recognitions in the Zenica-
Doboj Canton.
