(Patria) - The footballers and the coaching staff arrived on the balcony above the Eternal Flame around three in the morning to celebrate with thousands of gathered people the qualification for the World Cup in football after they eliminated Italy on penalties (4:1).
A crowd of people gathered in front of the Eternal Flame by midnight, and the streets of Sarajevo were clogged with cars.
The Dragons already had a mini-celebration in Zenica with fans, in the locker room, while the central celebration was scheduled for the early morning hours of April 1st.
The celebration continued with the calling out of all the players of the A selection. Sabahudin Topalbećirović was in charge of that. Special ovations were received by Nikola Vasilj, Nikola Katić, Tarik Muhamerović, Ermedin Demirović, Esmir Bajraktarević, Haris Tabaković.
The biggest ovations were received by captain Edin Džeko and coach Sergej Barbarez.
