Pilav: Nine clusters in Sarajevo, 1,880 people in self-isolation

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Epidemiologist and President of the KS Crisis Staff Aida Pilav said at a press conference that 205 people have been tested so far in this canton, that 1,880 people are in self-isolation and that 868 have left self-isolation. She emphasized that there are currently nine active clusters in Sarajevo Canton, and they are mostly linked to an event in Konjic from March 11.

"The cluster I mentioned earlier, which is linked to an event held in KS in mid-March, and that cluster is linked to Konjic. That event was a thematic session of the FBiH Government held on March 16 in Sarajevo, and all positive individuals and their first contacts are under supervision," said Pilav.

One of the clusters is a private agency where the woman who passed away last week worked. This cluster was opened on March 24, and all individuals linked to it are under supervision. The entire family of the deceased woman is in home isolation, and all members, except for the daughter, have tested negative for coronavirus.

She emphasized that the KS Crisis Staff, after the FBiH Government session, issued an order for the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" to assess its capacities in order to combat coronavirus and, if necessary, engage additional resources.
