Peštalić: No excuse for organizing a concert in front of the church in Srebrenica on the day of the funeral

(Patria) - A concert was organized in front of the Orthodox church in Srebrenica tonight, despite the fact that the funeral was held today at the Potočari Memorial Center, that the remains of 30 victims of the Srebrenica genocide were buried, and that the whole world was remembering the brutal crimes committed by the members of the Army and police of Republika Srpska.

This event was condemned by the chief imam of the Islamic Community (MIZ) Srebrenica, Damir-ef. Peštalić, who stated that there should be no excuse for organizing such an event on the day of the funeral in Potočari.

"There is no justification for this. When we think it can't get any worse and they can't do worse, the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) organizes a concert in front of its building with songs that inspire new genocides. The mothers of Srebrenica are calling me. Numerous people are calling me. We are not afraid, but we are shocked by the amount of hatred towards Bosniaks. It is scum gathering around the church. This only brings a great stain to the Orthodox Church. The clergy, led by Bishop Hrizostom, should react and condemn this. That is the least they can do, if there is any reason and humanity left," Peštalić told MINA Agency.
