Pensions for March to be received by 464,689 beneficiaries, requiring 351.8 million KM

(Patria) - In accordance with the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, pensions for the month of March will be paid through the Unified Treasury Account of the Federation of BiH on Friday, April 3, 2026.

For beneficiaries who acquired the right by January 1, 2026, the lowest pension is 666.76 KM, the guaranteed pension is 795.74 KM, while the highest pension is 3,333.79 KM.

The base for calculating the lowest pension from Article 81, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH, No. 6/26), for beneficiaries who acquire the right after January 1, 2026, amounts to 724.36 KM.

Based on the above, the lowest pension amounts to at least:

a) for less than 20 years of pensionable service – 60% of the base, i.e., 434.62 KM
b) for 20 years of pensionable service and more, but less than 25 years – 65% of the base, i.e., 470.83 KM
c) for 25 years of pensionable service and more, but less than 30 years – 70% of the base, i.e., 507.05 KM
d) for 30 years of pensionable service and more, but less than 35 years – 75% of the base, i.e., 543.27 KM
e) for 35 years of pensionable service and more, but less than 40 years – 85% of the base, i.e., 615.71 KM
f) for 40 years of pensionable service and more – 95% of the base, i.e., 688.14 KM

The amount of the guaranteed pension for beneficiaries who acquire the right after January 1, 2026, based on 40 or more years of insurance service, is set at 842.44 KM.

Family pensions for deceased insured persons and disability pensions for beneficiaries who acquire the right after January 1, 2026, cannot be lower than 90% of the average pension from December 2025, adjusted in the year the right is acquired, which amounts to 651.92 KM.

The lowest pension for beneficiaries who acquire the right under special regulations (Law on Early Favorable Pensioning of Defenders of the Defense-Liberation War, Law on Special Rights of Recipients of War Decorations and Medals and their Families, and Law on the Rights of Defenders and their Families), as amended by the aforementioned laws, is set at 666.76 KM.

The average individual pension for March is 850.05 KM.

A total of 464,689 beneficiaries will receive pensions for March, and the required funds for payment amount to approximately 351.8 million KM.
