(Patria) - At the commemoration of the legendary BiH singer Halid Bešlić, held at the National Theatre in Sarajevo, Fahrudin Pecikoza, a long-time friend of the singer, addressed the attendees.
"Today we remember his family and all the moments we spent together. We went fishing with Belmin, we socialized every day. I wasn't a collaborator of Halid Bešlić, I was a friend. Dino knows, Belmin knows. At 2 PM we went to Semizovac, talked about topographies, history, I always wanted to ask him something about his beginnings. He said he started singing at his godfather's, then in Šabac, and then he saw a bus for Sarajevo, got on and came."
Pecikoza added an emotional anecdote:
"I tend to ask silly questions, so I asked him who the most beautiful woman in the world is. He said: 'The one you trust.' I am not the author of 'Sejda', I am the recorder. Dino, you were a hero and you remain a hero, worthy of the surname Bešlić. You told me when we spoke: 'No crying.' And you cried too. You asked me how we will go on without Halid – I still haven't found that answer."
With his story, Pecikoza conveyed to the attendees the closeness and friendship he shared with Halid Bešlić, emphasizing his humanity, humor, and genuine kindness.
