'Patriotska liga' Hadžići: Full support for 'Igman' workers, we demand the dismissal of irresponsible and incompetent management!

(Patria) - The association of veterans 'Patriotska liga' of the municipality of Hadžići issued a press release expressing full support for the workers and employees of the company 'Igman' Konjic, who due to lack of raw materials are forced to halt production.

The Association emphasizes that the current situation is a consequence of the irresponsibility and incompetence of the current management to ensure a regular and stable supply of raw materials necessary for the company's operation.

As stated, the consequences of such inaction do not only affect the workers and their families, but also the wider community and the entire economic system to which the company belongs.

'We particularly emphasize that the factory operated even in the hardest years of the nineties, when there were blockades and a lack of resources, and that the workers managed to maintain production and preserve jobs at that time. That was a strong motivation and support for our fighters. Today, in peacetime, it is unacceptable for workers to face a production halt due to management irresponsibility,' the statement reads.

The Association states that 'Igman' workers are not and must not be hostages of poor management, and demands an urgent reaction from the competent institutions, including the dismissal of those responsible, and the appointment of a competent management that will lead the company transparently and in the interest of the workers, the economy, and the state.

They also call on trade unions, associations, the local community, and the general public to provide support to the workers and their fight for job preservation and dignified work.

'Only through joint solidarity can we prevent further collapse of this company and protect the interests of the workers and society as a whole,' they state from 'Patriotska liga' Hadžići.
