Pašić: Banks will help everyone, we are defining the conditions and implementation will start soon

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The President of the Management Board of the Association of Banks in FBiH, Sanela Pašić, said that banks in BiH are more than aware of the problems and the impact on the economy due to the coronavirus. 

“Banks want to and will be partners to everyone. We will provide credit relief to all clients. Our supervisor has prescribed a framework, and the decision on credit relief will come into effect today or tomorrow,” she added.

She also stated the principles of assistance.

“The first principle is to help everyone, the second is to preserve health with as few contacts and papers as possible, and the third principle is to preserve the stability of the banking system,” Pašić said. 

The banking sector needs to be preserved, because, as she says, the destabilization of the banking sector is a new blow to the economy. 

“This week and at the beginning of next week, we will define all the details, and then start the implementation. When the banks define all the conditions, they will use all their communication channels to explain all the conditions and procedures,” Pašić said.
