Handicapped by a serious deficiency of knowledge needed to manage processes, political partners in Sarajevo Canton have remembered their ideological role models and today will try to pave a parliamentary path in their footsteps.
In translation, the political contraption tailored in global centers of power, where social liberalism, right-wing political Sharia, and social democracy are intertwined under the banner of communism, has ruined the most powerful and richest part of the country to the point of begging.
They have even managed to make salary payments, a basic budget item, questionable, let alone development projects in the field of transport infrastructure, solving air quality problems, youth, and trade unions.
In such a situation, the coalition bloc Trojka (Trio) doesn't even have a weak two, as it has failed most of the exams it had to pass as the government. Following events, such a situation is water on the mill of the opposition and the critical public, which has long since taken Trojka, as the expected change, to task due to seriously poor results.
And when the results are poor and even melodramatic PR from the Narod i Pravda (People and Justice) kitchen cannot help, this bloc has decided to return to times marked by totalitarianism. Or, in translation, to communism, which 80 percent of the current authorities in Sarajevo Canton will tell you was a bad time in our history.
Because, the DNA of the Sarajevo government consists of liberals under rainbow flags and pilgrims with PR beards and greetings. Communism limited the space for action for both of them, so it is a scourge.
However, what they think of communism is one thing, because it is quite clear to the Sarajevo Trojka that the totalitarian concept of communism is their only way to survive until the elections. And after that, who knows, Americans, Schmidt…
And what does communist regulation of the Rules of Procedure in the KS Assembly mean?
Whoever remembers the sessions of the assemblies in the former Yugoslavia will be perfectly clear what the KS Assembly could look like if the Rules of Procedure are adopted. It will be a scene where comrades from the three-pointed set enjoy a glass of conversation somewhere far from the cameras. The liberal part will continue to fake it with talk about the lack of freedoms while collecting a considerable amount of money every month for their self-imposed struggle.
And the pilgrims? Well, they are a special communist story of the new era. If the relevant amendments are adopted at the sessions, pilgrims with PR beards will be able to be everything they criticized their communist ancestors for. To expel disobedient deputies, to debate in vain and to shift from the empty, to give monological lectures on parliamentarism, and all this in front of an opposition that will have a choice between silence and an end in the style of Ivan Pernar.
Welcome to the 19th century. Because, parliamentary life in Sarajevo has just returned there thanks to political sects, pseudoliberal dogmas, and communists disguised as social democrats.
Where all this will lead us is not the smartest thing to speculate about, because parliamentary beards might feel threatened and accuse us of undermining the constitutional and legal order. And if they manage to install the model from the time of Ceaușescu in some parliament, then the media sky is not far from darkness.
And it's not that I'm surprised by the appearance of parliamentary beardism that is conceiving communism. On the contrary, I expected them earlier, because the extent of their inability to manage processes is below any level of their ambition to remain at the head of these processes. And that can cloud the mind, so parliamentary beardism arises - a phenomenon in which pilgrims and those who greet with 'selam' conceive communism.
Because, such a government, dear only to itself and hated by everyone else, is always prone to seeking ways for self-protection.
I just wonder where are those anti-radical, pro-European, and socio-liberal souls who have been telling us stories about civil society, dialogue, and democracy for years. Telling stories and feasting well from American, German, Scandinavian, British, or European budgets.
Where are these bearers today when their political favorites are taking us back to a time from which we paid our exit with blood. Schmidt, Murphy, the British, the EU are silent... everyone is silent, because they installed this sectarian-communist project in power.
Everyone is silent, and they dehumanized the past ones on all grounds, from the buttons on their jackets to the spun reality in which everyone who had contact with budget funds was a criminal.
The silence of international actors is an ominous message: stability is important, regardless of the price.
However, the price is high. Democratic standards are falling, parliaments are becoming places of monolithic thinking, and critical voices are being silenced by threats, harassment, or simply – by ignoring them. And while political elites are shaping a new social order, Sarajevans remain witnesses to their own defeat, not fully realizing that this system is leading them towards even deeper political, economic, and cultural stagnation.
Parliamentary beardism is conceiving communism, and citizens are conceiving justice, freedom, and dignity – what, in a true democracy, should be undeniable. But will anyone dare to lead them towards it?
