Asmir Begović, Jasmin Fejzić, Asmir Avdukić, Emir Spahić, Toni Šunjić, Sead Kolašinac, Ognjen Vranješ, Ervin Zukanović, Ermin Bičakčić, Muhamed Bešić, Miralem Pjanić, Izet Hajrović, Mensur Mujdža, Haris Medunjanin, Senad Lulić, Anel Hadžić, Tino Sušić, Sejad Salihović, Zvjezdan Misimović, Senijad Ibričić, Avdija Vršajević, Vedad Ibišević, Edin Džeko and Edin Višća are the names that the coach of the BiH national football team is taking to the World Cup, which he announced at today's press conference in Sarajevo.
- These are the players I consider to be the best at the moment - said Sušić.
Sušić was asked what Tino Sušić deserved the call-up for, to which the coach ironically replied that he obviously got the call-up because of his surname.
- These are our best players in my opinion. Tino plays all the matches and is among the 24 best players - said Sušić.
The coach said that he saw many interesting players at the Sarajevo derby, but that he could not include anyone on the list because it would mean dropping someone from the list he had announced.
- I saw many interesting players, but even if I had invited some of them, they would not have the right to play - said Sušić.
Muhamed Bešić is on the list again, and Sušić says he had no dilemmas about that.
- Vlado Jagodić had a misunderstanding with him, but they smoothed it over. He is a good player and I had no dilemmas there - added Sušić.
When a journalist stated that two classic strikers, Ibišević and Džeko, are going to Brazil, Sušić said that there was no need for more.
- And I didn't have much of a choice, although there are some players now who are playing well, like Ermin Zec, but, well, I didn't invite him, because we will have to play many matches with one striker, and here is Ibričić who is a forward - said Sušić, adding that he believes that neither Iran nor Nigeria have better players and that he hopes they can reach the top 16 teams.
Sušić said that the national team players will have three days off during preparations.
- We will train for three days, and then have one day off. So, in total, they will have three days off. They will also have free time in the afternoon until the evening, and whoever has family visiting can also sleep over with them. I am not a general - said Sušić.
He also touched upon the disturbed atmosphere in the Association and emphasized that this is, after all, the team that went to the World Cup and that will be recorded in history.
- I want that, when I meet these guys in five or ten years, I can invite them for coffee, and not have them turn their heads away - added Sušić.
The coach noted that before the start of preparations, he will also discuss his status in the Association with the leaders of the Association, i.e., whether his contract will be extended. Also, Sušić said that he suggested that the preparations be held in Sarajevo, not in Zenica, where the camp was built.
- There were options to go to Austria or Switzerland, but this is my decision - says Sušić.
