Pope Francis to journalists: Thank you for your work

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Pope Francis came before journalists last night to greet them after holding a mass in which he warned of "something worse than the coronavirus", of "selfishness".

"Thank you for your work. Instead of staying in bed on Sundays, you work. Thank you very much, thank you. It is important to communicate", said the Pope to the journalists who were waiting for him in front of the Roman church of Santo Spirito in Sassia, near the Vatican.

The mass on the occasion of the feast of Divine Mercy, which was introduced 20 years ago by Pope John Paul II, was held this time without believers.

During the mass, Pope Francis warned of "the danger of forgetting those who are on the sidelines".

"The risk is that they will be hit by an even worse virus, the virus of selfishness and indifference", said the Pope.
