SARAJEVO, (Patria) - One of the four most famous tennis tournaments in the world, Wimbledon Open, the unofficial world championship, has been cancelled.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the third Grand Slam of the season has also been cancelled.
This is the first time this tournament will not be played since World War II!
It was supposed to be held from June 29 to July 12.
Before the London tournament, EURO 2020 and the Olympic Games in Tokyo were cancelled. Those two competitions will be held next year.
Roland Garros decided to move the tournament to September 20. The Australian Open was not played earlier.
Sport in 2020 is suffering an unprecedented blow.
