(Patria) - Pakistani security forces killed 33 militants attempting to cross the border from Afghanistan overnight, the army said on Friday, describing them as "under the patronage of India", Reuters reported.
The fighters were intercepted and engaged with "precision" fire, the military's public relations department stated, adding that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were found.
Pakistan and India, nuclear-armed neighbours with a history of conflict, frequently accuse each other of supporting insurgents.
New Delhi denies supporting militants in Pakistan.
