PATIENTS ON HOLD: Suspension of PET/CT Diagnostics at KCUS Due to Bidder Complaint

(Patria) - The Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) informs patients and the public that the diagnostic procedure PET/CT will not be possible until further notice due to a lack of reagent 18 FDG, which is necessary for performing this examination. Although the PET/CT device is fully functional and ready for use, the procurement of the reagent is currently suspended due to an ongoing appeal procedure at the Office for Complaints Review (OCR).

To ensure continuity in diagnostics and treatment for patients, the PET/CT examination can be performed at regional medical centers, with the possibility of reimbursement of costs upon:

- Confirmation from the KCUS Clinic that the procedure cannot currently be performed;
- An invoice from the institution where the examination was performed;
- The PET/CT examination report.

KCUS remains committed to providing the best possible healthcare to patients and is taking all necessary steps to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The public will be promptly informed of any further information.
