OPEN LETTER Košarac to BiH Citizens: Let's Buy Domestic, Because Ours is Better

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Staša Košarac sent an open letter to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We are publishing the letter in its entirety:

"Dear Citizens,

We are facing a global challenge caused by the spread of the coronavirus, which will define our era. The decisions we make today will mark our society in the years to come. In circumstances where social distancing is the best way to care for each other, we must not distance ourselves from solidarity. That is why I call on you to show solidarity with domestic entrepreneurs who are facing difficulties in the new circumstances. Our companies employ our families, neighbors, friends, acquaintances. They employ our citizens! By buying domestic products, we directly help preserve existing and create new jobs, which is of crucial importance in this time of uncertainty.

Domestic products are the result of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of our producers. This guarantees us the quality of recognizable content. That is why I urge you to pay attention when shopping and always give preference to domestic products, because the effort of our people stands behind them. By buying domestic products, we contribute to the stability of the healthcare and education systems, as well as the pension fund. In this way, we will indirectly express gratitude for the selfless fight and dedicated commitment of our healthcare and education workers, but also show care for our senior citizens in the circumstances we are facing.

I encourage you to buy domestic products, because such a decision builds our community and means investing in future generations. Our support for domestic entrepreneurs gives them both a chance and hope for survival in these difficult times.

Therefore - let's buy domestic, because ours is better."
