42nd International Plum Fair Opens in Gradačac

Today, the 42nd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry - Plum Fair opened in Gradačac, and by August 29, more than 250 exhibitors from BiH, the region, and the EU will be presenting, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The fair was opened by the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, and was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry of the Federation of BiH, Šemsudin Dedić, as well as the Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton, Bego Gutić, and other guests from the political, public, and cultural life of BiH.

A reception was also organized for all guests at the Zmaj od Bosne tower, hosted by the Mayor of Gradačac Municipality, Edis Dervišagić, and the Fair Director, Hašim Šabanović.

Dervišagić welcomed everyone to Gradačac and emphasized the importance of this event in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Accompanying cultural and other contents will also be organized at the Fair.

Prime Minister Novalić said that Gradačac has become recognizable as a city of agriculture thanks to this fair and its tradition.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with exceptional potential for the development of this economic sector and the basis for the processing industry, which should and must be developed. In utilizing these potentials, the Government of the Federation is undertaking, and will undertake, planned measures for incentives and the creation of an environment for engaging in this activity, which is an opportunity for greater and faster employment - said Novalić.

In addition to the exhibition part, this event is accompanied by professional-scientific consultations, round tables, presentations, and other contents that contribute to this field in a professional and well-thought-out manner.
