Messages Revealed: How Nikšić, Ohranović, Munjić, and Dževlan Arranged Investigations and Arrests of Former Autoceste Directors

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, along with his associates and acting Director of the Federal Police Administration Vahidin Munjić, participated in orchestrating investigations that resulted in the arrest of former heads of JP Autoceste. At the same time, Nikšić, in return, through police inspector Muhamed Ohranović and the Minister of Transport in the KS Government Adnan Šteta, ensured that Munjić's cousin was appointed as executive director of JP BH Pošta. Inspector Ohranović also received a reward for his loyalty, as Nikšić appointed his wife as executive director of JP Elektroprivreda BiH. All of this is proven by the correspondence found in Vahidin Munjić's phone, published tonight by Istraga.ba and Hayat TV's Investigation of the Week, with further publications announced for the future.

To ensure the success of the operation against political opponents, Nikšić and his associates decided to install Vahidin Munjić as the acting director of the FUP. The intermediary between the Prime Minister of the Federation and Munjić was police officer Muhamed Ohranović. However, Prime Minister Nikšić himself often communicated with Munjić. This is correspondence from the summer of 2023, exchanged between Muhamed Ohranović and Vahidin Munjić.

Muhamed Ohranovic 26.5. 2023 9:42:45 : “You plan for us to go to the Prime Minister on 5.6. at 11:00 AM. But he will confirm it to me one more time. I am here in Sarajevo, I am not going anywhere.”

Ten days later, Ohranović sends instructions to Munjić.

Muhamed Ohranovic 6.6. 202, 6:48:47 : “Don't even think about putting (Nuridin) Hafizović in charge of FISKP. Let's meet later. It's mandatory. So, if you've done anything, stop it immediately. The Prime Minister is angry.”

A day later, new correspondence.

Muhamed Ohranović, 7.6.2023.17:17:01 : Regarding the prosecutor's request concerning Bahra, let it proceed. Don't inform her about anything, let them call her and question her and do what needs to be done. Arijana wasn't happy when we left the office (that conversation of yours with Bahra). She got the impression that someone was trying to help her. Anyway, I've now explained to her that she is a witness in that case and that there's no need to help anyone. This Arijana (head of Nermin Nikšić's cabinet) is good but can be difficult, and the Prime Minister trusts her unconditionally. She demands that everything related to the cabinet and people under her command goes through her. One must be careful with these matters. They are looking for a needle in a haystack now, and everything is viewed through the prism of who is loyal to whom and who can be trusted. As long as I am here, I can control this. I'm telling you this so you know for the future.”

After his acting mandate was extended, Nermin Nikšić began preparations for an operation targeting former heads of JP Autoceste, Adnan Terzić and Elmedin Voloder. The first message was conveyed by Muhamed Ohranović.

Two days later, Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić joins the conversation, first asking Munjić to verify claims from a NES party statement, and then engaging in the Autoceste discussion.

Two days later, specifically on March 8, 2024, Munjić sends Asmir Dževlan FUP documents related to planned activities in the JP Autoceste case. This document, among other things, states: “Considering the factual situation established so far, as well as the proposed measures and actions, it is necessary for the acting prosecutor to determine the status of the identified individuals, who, depending on the prosecutor's decision and the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing a criminal offense, may have the status of suspects: from JP Autoceste (Adnan Terzić and other management members from that period, Elmedin Voloder and other management members from that period, and others. In this regard, if the acting prosecutor deems it necessary to question these individuals as suspects, their order must specify the factual description they are accused of and correspond to the criminal offense they are suspected of.”

Munjić then explains the details to Dževlan.

The FUP, among others, arrested former directors of JP Autoceste, Elmedin Voloder and Adnan Terzić. None of the arrested individuals were detained. This was, in fact, a cover for the investigation against Nikšić's management of JP Autoceste, led by Asmir Dževlan and Denis Lasić. The European Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation against these two for corruption during the construction of Corridor Vc.

The fact that FUP Director Vahidin Munjić was rewarded for his loyalty is also shown by the appointment of his cousin, Safet Trakić, to the position of executive director of JP BH Pošta.
