Academic community gathering in Sarajevo cancelled: Regulatory plan 'Quadrant C' withdrawn from City Council session agenda

(Patria) - The University of Sarajevo (UNSA) announced today that the peaceful gathering of the academic community, scheduled for tomorrow in front of the Sarajevo City Hall at 9:30 AM, has been cancelled.

Following the announcement of the gathering and further consultations, the Mayor of Sarajevo informed the Rector of UNSA that the proposed agenda item concerning the Regulatory Plan "Quadrant C - Marijin Dvor" will be withdrawn from the City Council session agenda.

"Considering the above, we believe that the conditions have been met for continuing the dialogue and institutionally resolving open issues, and that there is no need for the announced gathering at this time.

We thank all members of the academic community for their willingness to jointly, with dignity and responsibility, protect the interests of the University of Sarajevo, its property, security, and development vision.

The University of Sarajevo remains committed to further active participation in the process of finding solutions through dialogue with competent institutions, in the interest of the academic community and the public good," UNSA announced.
