The match between Germany and Netherlands, which was supposed to be played tonight in Hannover, has been cancelled due to a possible terrorist attack, German police confirmed, reports BH News Agency Patria.
German and British media report that a suspicious object was found inside the HDI Arena stadium, which could be linked to a potential terrorist attack, after which fans were evacuated from the stadium and the match was cancelled.
Media state that German Chancellor Angela Merkel was also supposed to watch the match from the stands.
Five days ago, terrorists killed nearly 130 and wounded hundreds of people in Paris, also during a match between France and Germany, writes NAP.
