(Patria) - The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Nezir Pivić attended the founding assembly of the Professional Union of Nurses/Technicians and Medical Associates in ZDK today.
Edin Avdić was elected President of the Assembly, and Senada Huduti was elected President of the union. The core membership of the new union consists of about 700 employees of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica.
Prime Minister Pivić expressed support for the establishment of the union and announced the signing of a collective agreement for healthcare employees, which has received the approval of the ZDK Government.
The collective agreements will be signed tomorrow at the headquarters of the ZDK Government and include salary increases and additional rights for doctors and healthcare employees.

- This is a continuation of the work of the ZDK Government in this term, of course, and a good synergy of all participants in the ZDK Government, all political representatives, to have quality social dialogue with our social partners within two and a half years - said Pivić.
He emphasized that the current Government has not only focused on one branch but has equally cared for all employees in the institutions and establishments of ZDK.
The establishment of the new union was also welcomed by the Deputy Speaker of the ZDK Assembly, Goran Bulajić.
