Osmanović with judokas Cerić and Samardžić

Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović received judokas Larisa Cerić and Aleksandra Samardžić, and the coach of the BiH judo team Branislav Crnogorac, after exceptional results achieved at the World and European Championships.

 - I want to acknowledge these exceptional sportswomen for the outstanding results they have achieved this season. I hope that your results will be an incentive for other athletes, as well as for society as a whole, to pay even greater attention to sports in the future - said Minister Osmanović.

BiH judo team coach Branislav Crnogorac emphasized that judo is the most decorated BiH sport and expressed his expectation that these successes will raise awareness of the need to change the attitude of authorities in BiH towards sports and athletes and lead to greater investment in sports.

Our next goal is to qualify for the Olympic Games, and we hope to secure finances for participation in extremely demanding qualifying tournaments - said Crnogorac. 

Larisa Cerić won second place at the recently concluded World Championship in the Open category, which is the greatest achievement in BiH sports. Aleksandra Samardžić won a bronze medal at the European Championship for seniors up to 23 years of age in Podgorica, in very tough competition.
