(Patria) - Osman Ćatić, the SDA candidate in today's local elections, will remain at the head of the City of Konjic for the next four years.
According to unofficial results, Ćatić won 6,035 votes, and given that 11,797 voters cast their ballots in Konjic today, it is completely clear that he has an insurmountable lead.
"Local elections in our city were held under specific circumstances, as we lost five of our fellow citizens in recent devastating floods and landslides, and numerous residents of our local community were left homeless or had their homes damaged. The damage to infrastructure is enormous.
Due to all of the above, I want to thank all fellow citizens who, under the mentioned circumstances, fulfilled their civic duty today and went to the polls, thereby showing responsibility towards themselves and the community in which we live.
We have a lot of work ahead of us starting tomorrow, so with a genuine commitment to justify your trust through our actions, we expect to move forward together and create the living conditions we all desire," said the new/old mayor of Konjic to the portal novikonjic.ba.
According to current results, independent candidate Adnan Faladžić has 2,500 votes, while the SDP BiH candidate Emir Đulić won 1,074 votes. Today, 54.26% of the 21,500 registered voters cast their ballots in Konjic.
