Hygiene and Health Protection Supplies Secured for Institutions

(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in the current situation, caused by the coronavirus outbreak, provides full support to the directors, management, and employees of social protection institutions throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in implementing preventive protection measures in the fight against this pandemic.

In order to protect the residents of the institutions, who represent the most vulnerable category of the population, as well as the employees who care for them in these difficult times, this ministry, in cooperation with Pomozi.ba, the Federal Civil Protection Staff, and the Red Cross of the Federation of BiH, has provided donations of sanitary and hygiene products.

Donations were received by the Drin, Bakovići, Pazarić, Hum Sarajevo institutions, and the Ljubuški institutions within the scope of social protection. The Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Vesko Drljača, visited the Drin, Bakovići, and Pazarić institutions today and handed over hygiene and sanitary supplies. The Minister informed the responsible persons at the institutions about further activities and announced that this ministry will continue to help and care for social protection institutions in the future.

"Aware that we are entering an uncertain and risky period ahead of us, we are all obliged to undertake all possible activities and measures to protect the residents and employees of the institutions," said Drljača.

The Minister was informed about the current situation, problems, and measures being taken to prevent the spread of infection, as well as the problems arising from the current situation, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.
