(Patria) - The Organizing Committee for Commemorating the Anniversaries of the Genocide against Bosniaks in the "UN Safe Zone" of Srebrenica in July 1995 fully supports BHRT and the employees of that institution.
"The state television is not just a public service - it is an institution of special importance for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a pillar of information, culture, and identity of our country. The dedicated work of the employees, their professionalism, and perseverance in complex circumstances deserve recognition and deep respect.
The role of BHRT in conveying the facts about the genocide in Srebrenica and preserving collective memory and remembrance is of exceptional importance and remains deeply etched in the consciousness of survivors, victims' families, and the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We witness that BHRT has made an immeasurable contribution to preserving the memory and remembrance of the genocide in Srebrenica. We are aware that such a mission requires professionalism, courage, and responsibility, especially in times when information and public interest are being tested. That is why we send a clear message - we stand with you.
We call on the authorities to find systemic solutions that will enable the continuity of BHRT's work, and to provide conditions worthy of the importance that state television has in society," stated the Organizing Committee.
