The Bosnia and Herzegovina handball team has started preparations in Mostar for the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers for the 2017 World Championship in France, reports the Patria news agency.
The second part of the World Cup qualifiers will be played from January 6 to 17. The first two matches of the BH handball players will be against Kosovo, on January 6 in Đakovica and three days later in Tuzla, while the qualifiers conclude with matches in Slovakia on January 13 and against Lithuania in Tuzla four days later. Only the first-placed team from Group 1 will advance to the playoffs for the World Championship.
Coach Dragan Marković said that the ambitions of the handball players are great. The first match is scheduled for January 6 in Đakovica.
- The most important thing is that the players are healthy. There is always a degree of caution when playing against a team you do not know well enough. We go down with great respect, but on the other hand without any fear. We are among the best in the region, we are capable of playing against all teams and not fearing anyone - emphasizes the national team coach.
Incidentally, on January 4, the BH handball players will also play a friendly match against Montenegro during the preparations.
