Opposition from Republika Srpska: We hope Borjana Krišto will resign

(Patria) The state-level parliamentary opposition of the BiH entity of Republika Srpska held an emergency press conference, explained as being due to the absence of SNSD parliamentarians at a joint session of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples.

Mladen Bosić, a representative of the SDS Club in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, was among the first to speak.

A new phase of political crisis. SNSD has decided to create a new political blockade. This is a very significant and difficult blockade. Just so you know, we are still the opposition at the state level and we are acting accordingly. We would like this crisis to be resolved and for this government to do what the people voted for. Our principle is to have a functional state government. We hope that Borjana Krišto, the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH, will resign. Because we need to pass legislation that will benefit BiH and pull us out of this mire. We have reached this position due to coalition conflicts. No progress can be made until a new convocation of the Council of Ministers of BiH is formed.

We will have to wait and see if a partner for work at the state level will be found.
They are ready for anything just to stay in their positions, and that is not the reason for the government blockade. A blockade of everything is not an option. For us, the option is to overcome deep crises and achieve development. We are ready to participate in something new. It is not true that everything depends on the election of the collegium member from the Serb people, and it is possible for him to work. They have decided to make a mockery of this institution by proposing Branislav Borenović for the position of the second chairperson, Bosić stated.

Nenad Vuković from PDP, a delegate in the Club of Serbs in the House of Peoples of the PSBiH, addressed the journalists.

- We do not share the same opinion as the SNSD delegates. The crisis has not lasted for 15 days, but since the state majority was formed. I would not say this is the beginning of the crisis, I would say this is the beginning of resolving the crisis. Nothing significant for the Serb people can be decided in the collegium, the public must be aware of that. They can only make decisions regarding the holding of sessions. They want to preserve their positions with this. And let me confirm that the dismissal of two ministers of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Košarac and Amižić, has been initiated, Vuković pointed out.

Representative Nenad Grković stated that SNSD does not care about the citizens of Republika Srpska, nor of BiH. For them, success is that they managed to place the flag of Republika Srpska 50 meters from the border. As if that is the only problem for all citizens of Republika Srpska.

At the session of the House of Representatives of the PSBiH, Branislav Borenović (PDP) was not elected as a member of the collegium of this house. 37 representatives voted against, and four abstained. It is interesting that the SNSD representatives, who were the proposers, also voted against Borenović's appointment.
