Preparations of our senior handball national team, ahead of the matches against Spain and Austria as part of the Euro 2018 qualifiers, begin today at the "Hills" hotel in Ilidža.
The first players that coach Bilal Šuman counts on for the "Euro 2018" operation will start reporting at 5 PM.
Due to the fact that the German, French, and Hungarian championships are also being played next weekend, Šuman and his associates will only have all the players together on October 31st, so they will conduct only one training session with the complete team before leaving for Spain on November 1st.
The BiH national team plays its first qualifying match for the 2018 European Championship in Croatia on November 2nd against Spain, which is undoubtedly the absolute favorite in our group, which also includes Austria and Finland.
Considering that the top two teams from the group qualify for the Euro, our second qualifying match against Austria on November 6th in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall in Sarajevo is of utmost importance to us.
The Austrians could be our direct rivals in the fight for second place. They are coming to Sarajevo with their strongest squad, but in our camp, they believe that, with frenetic support from the stands, we can thwart the plans of the Austrians, who also have great ambitions in the qualifiers.
