Ilidža Municipality has distributed 2,700 saplings, mostly 1,500 apple, 550 sour cherry, and 400 plum, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
The saplings were distributed before spring planting, and this municipality does this traditionally by local communities.
Otherwise, this municipality has been working on agricultural development in recent years, with greenhouse production developed in the settlement of Butmir, as well as frequent cultivation of berry fruits and livestock farming. The municipality, led by Mayor Senaid Memić, also provides incentives to farmers.
