Municipality Centar presented monetary donations to families of martyrs

On the occasion of the upcoming Kurban Bayram, a traditional reception for 20 families of martyrs was held at the Municipality Centar Sarajevo on September 22, 2015. The Chairman of the Municipal Council Centar Nedžad Ajnadžić, along with Deputy Chairman of the Council Slaven Kovačević, hosted the families of martyrs, to whom a one-time financial aid of 100 KM was also presented, it was announced, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Ajnadžić, on behalf of the Mayor Dževad Bećirević and the Municipal Council Centar, welcomed all attendees and wished them a happy upcoming Bayram, noting that the Municipality Centar will continue this tradition on the occasion of all religious holidays, and that the intention is to increase the amount of aid and the number of recipients.

- This is a deep expression of respect for the character and work of those who gave their lives for the defense of the capital city and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we are aware that such attention is never enough. The doors of the Municipality Centar are always open for the veteran population and their families - Ajnadžić stated.

Kovačević expressed his satisfaction to be in the company of martyrs' families on the occasion of Kurban Bayram.

- In a symbolic way, we want to express our admiration and respect for our heroes. I must emphasize that the Municipality Centar organizes such receptions for all religious holidays when we meet with the families of martyrs and fallen soldiers, in order to show that Centar expresses lasting care for them - Kovačević emphasized.

Among the recipients of financial aid from the Municipality Centar is Jedina Frlj, who expressed gratitude for this type of assistance, which will allow her family to have a richer table for Bayram.

He left behind three daughters, aged eight months, four, and ten years. We managed to exchange his dead body after four months and hold the funeral in April 1993. Today, they are three grown women, and I am proud of them - Frlj stated.
