SARAJEVO, (Patria) - On the first day of 2021, there are 56 patients hospitalized in the Covid department of the General Hospital "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" Sarajevo. In the past 24 hours, two patients were admitted to this health institution, and six have completed their treatment and were discharged home.
There are currently three patients in intensive care, and during the past day, one patient was transferred to the clinic in Podhrastovi.
New Year's Eve at the Emergency Center of the General Hospital was relatively calm, while this morning there has been a somewhat more intensive arrival of patients with chronic diseases.
The first baby in Sarajevo Canton was also born this morning in the maternity ward of the General Hospital.
The on-call medical staff of the General Hospital was visited by Prof. Dr. Ismet Gavrankapetanović, acting director, on New Year's Eve, who congratulated them on the New Year 2021 with best wishes.
