(Patria) - Strong storm gusts hit Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Friday, resulting in several injured people and a traffic collapse.
The storm hit an open-air festival in western Slovakia on Friday. A large tent collapsed, and several smaller tents were damaged in the storm, the TASR news agency reported.
Emergency services transported 10 people with minor injuries to nearby hospitals, the control center reported on Friday evening.
The Pohoda festival was held from July 11 to 13 at the Trenčín airport in western Slovakia, but the program was temporarily suspended due to bad weather.
A large number of police officers and firefighters were deployed on the ground, while a sports hall was turned into an evacuation center for festival visitors.
