Gathering of the Dragons in Zenica: Operation Gibraltar Begins

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team is gathering today at the Training Centre of the Football Association of BiH in Zenica, where they will prepare for the upcoming qualifying match against Gibraltar on March 25th for the 2018 World Cup, and a friendly match with the Albanian national team, which will be played on March 28th in Elbasan, reports Patria agency.

Coach Mehmed Baždarević has called up 24 players, as well as four reserves. The list includes:

Goalkeepers: Asmir Begović (Chelsea), Ibrahim Šehić (Qarabag), Kenan Pirić (Zrinjski). 

Defence: Ermin Bičakčić (Hoffenheim), Toni Šunjić (Palermo), Edin Cocalić (Mechelen), Ervin Zukanović (Atalanta), Dario Dumić (Nijmegen), Sead Kolašinac (Schalke), Daniel Pavlović (Sampdoria).

Midfield: Miralem Pjanić (Juventus), Mario Vrančić (Darmstadt), Gojko Cimirot (PAOK), Sanjin Prcić (Rennes), Amer Gojak (Dinamo Zagreb), Edin Višća (Istanbul BB), Avdija Vršajević (Osmalispor), Danijel Milićević (Gent), Rade Krunić (Empoli). 

Attack: Riad Bajić (Konyaspor), Vedad Ibišević (Hertha), Armin Hodžić (Dinamo Z), Kenan Kodro (Osasuna), Milan Đurić (Bristol City).

Reserves: Tomislav Tomić (Željezničar), Haris Duljević (Sarajevo), Miroslav Stevanović (Željezničar), Samir Memišević (Groningen).

Milan Đurić, who underwent surgery, will not attend today's gathering, and some players have already arrived at the Training Centre.

The first training session is scheduled for 5:30 PM, and all players are expected.

In qualifying group H for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, BiH is in third place in the standings with seven points, behind leaders Belgium with 12 and Greece with 10 points.
