SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The BiH basketball team is expected to gather in Sarajevo today, where they will begin preparations for the qualifying matches for the European Championship, to be played in 2021. Our opponents are Greece and Latvia.
Coach Vedran Bosnić announced the list of players a few days ago. However, the first problems have already appeared in the form of the absence of one of our team's best players, Nemanja Gordić, who will miss both matches due to injury.
Draško Knežević will be on the list instead of Gordić, and Ismet Sejfić will take the place of Ajdin Penava, whose club did not allow him to join for the qualifying matches.
At today's gathering in the capital of BiH, the following players should report to Bosnić: Ismet Sejfić, Andrija Stipanović, Filip Adamović, Miralem Halilović, Muhamed Pašalić, Kenan Kamenjaš, Edin Atić, Draško Knežević, Milan Milošević, Adin Vrabac, Aleksandar Lazić, Jure Zubac, Emir Sulejmanović, Sani Čampara, Amar Alibegović, and Amar Gegić.
The BiH basketball players will play against Latvia in Riga on February 21, and three days later they will host the Greek team in Tuzla, writes sportske.ba.
