The cadet national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered today at the hotel "Park" in Vogosca and began preparations for the European Championship qualifying tournament, reports the Patria News Agency.

Coach Sakib Malkočević expects this generation to repeat the success of the previous ones.

- We have been preparing and playing friendly matches for a whole year to be ready for the qualifiers that await us in Moldova. Our opponents are Ukraine, Estonia, and Moldova, who are physically strong and prepared teams. We will prepare for four days before leaving for Moldova and try to correct some shortcomings we showed in the last matches. I hope we will repeat the success of previous generations and qualify for the Elite Round - Malkočević emphasized.

He also commented on the opponents in the qualifiers and admitted it would be difficult because the group is not easy and a long journey awaits us.

- Ukraine is an extremely high-quality team that constantly plays in the Elite Round, and even at the finals of major competitions. We must not underestimate Moldova either; they have the advantage of being the tournament hosts, and Estonia also possesses quality. However, we also have a good team, we have our ambitions, and I believe we can be among the top two teams and qualify for the next stage of the qualifiers - Malkočević added.

National team player Jasmin Čeliković is optimistic about our team's chances at the qualifying tournament.

- The atmosphere in the team is excellent. We are starting preparations. We have very big chances to achieve success, and I am sure we will advance - Čeliković emphasized.

Midfielder Stefan Kovač also believes in qualifying for the Elite Round.

- We are ready for the tasks that await us. We have to continue working and show our quality in Moldova. The opponents are not to be underestimated, but we believe in ourselves. We know our worth and we want to advance from the group - Kovač added.
