First online enrollment period in Sarajevo Canton concluded: 3,479 students enrolled in high schools

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, the first online enrollment period for high schools in Sarajevo Canton concluded yesterday, with 3,479 students enrolled. 

This year again, the highest student interest was for gymnasiums, the electrical engineering school, the economic school, and medical schools, and among vocational schools for the professions of cook, hairdresser, and motor vehicle driver, announced the KS Press Service.

The final ranking lists for the mentioned enrollment period were published yesterday at 4:00 PM on the website: https://upis.emis.ba and will not change anymore.  

From that moment on, students gained the right to enroll in the secondary education program in which they are listed within the enrollment quota.

With the conclusion of this enrollment period, 146 students who made choices but were not admitted to their selected schools remain.

There are still 350 available places in 17 public high schools for enrollment in the first grade, which students who were not admitted in the first enrollment period can apply for through the online system (https://upis.emis.edu.ba). 

Students who were not on any high school ranking list have the opportunity to choose high schools in the second enrollment period, which will be announced on Tuesday, July 9, and will last until July 11, 2019.

The final results of enrollment in Sarajevo Canton high schools for the second enrollment period will be published on Thursday, July 11, 2019, after 5:00 PM.
