OHR: SNSD committed to respecting the Dayton Agreement, no RS independence

Before last year's elections, SNSD, like all other parties, signed a declaration committing to align all party activities with the Dayton Peace Agreement, which leaves no room for the independence of Republika Srpska, the OHR announced, commenting on the SNSD's announced resolution for April 25, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The OHR told the Patria agency that they have not seen the text of the resolution announced by the President of the SNSD Executive Board, Nebojša Radmanović.

- And until we see its content, we cannot comment on it in detail.

We remind you that the media reported today that a new party statute and resolutions will be adopted at the SNSD Congress to be held on April 25 in East Sarajevo, one of which is about a free and independent RS, which represents the ultimate goal of the people living in RS and the SNSD's readiness to lead the people on that path, according to Radmanović.

- We cannot allow the current situation where some candidates from the Serb people at the BiH level are chosen by others. This is unacceptable. For the further development of RS, we cannot allow our powers to be transferred to another level. With this resolution, we will clearly state our position, and other resolutions we are preparing at all levels will also be interesting - says Radmanović, who is also a delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament.

The SNSD resolution comes just a month after the Croatian National Assembly, led by Dragan Čović, adopted a Declaration on the federalization of BiH, which does not involve changing the existing internal borders, leaving RS intact, while the territory of FBiH is "federalized".

Coincidence or not, both documents speak of the restructuring of the state. The HNS one is more "packaged", but the SNSD resolution is more than clear - Milorad Dodik is trying at all costs to achieve a state for himself.
