OHR: Dayton and the Final Arbitral Award for Brčko are being put at risk, delegates in the NSRs should reject the attack on the constitutional order

(Patria) - The Office of the High Representative issued a statement ahead of the sessions of the National Assembly of the RS, calling on deputies and delegates in the RS to reject the attack on the constitutional order of BiH and the multi-ethnic character of the RS.

The Office of the High Representative warned that the proposed draft Constitution of the RS entity is a clear violation of the Dayton Agreement, as well as the Final Arbitral Award for Brčko, and puts them at risk.

"All delegates in the National Assembly of the RS and the Council of Peoples of the RS should be aware that this process represents a serious danger. They must fulfill their personal duty and reject this attack on the constitutional order of BiH and the multi-ethnic character of the Republika Srpska."

"Since entities exist solely on the basis of the Constitution of BiH, everyone must avoid this and other activities that put the Constitution and institutions of BiH at risk," the statement said.
