(Patria) - The political crisis is not over. What follows after the summer holidays. Is a new combination, a coalition within the government and opposition, on the horizon? Nermin Ogrešević, president of NES, spoke about this and other topics for FTV.
The crisis in BiH has been constant since the signing of Dayton, especially in the last 10-15 years – since the referendum on the independence of Republika Srpska, Ogrešević stated.
„We want a normal country with all our compatriots – regardless of national, religious, or any affiliation – but it is evident that some policies do not want that. As the late Alija Izetbegović once said – Bosnia is an idea that people of different faiths, nations, orientations, or anything else can live together. It seems to me that these aggressive policies from the nineties are somehow afraid that this idea might succeed“, Ogrešević emphasized.
Ogrešević also commented on Denis Bećirović's "nine strategies" – he agrees with his analysis.
„The Constitution has been undermined, the decisions of the Constitutional Court of BiH in RS are not respected, the decisions of the High Representative – that is the priority at this moment“, Ogrešević warned.
Ogrešević reiterated that SNSD should not have been part of the state government: „Dodik interprets Dayton and international law for us and what we can and cannot do – that cannot be the way“.
Regarding the Constitutional Court of BiH, the exclusion of foreign judges must be a last resort, Ogrešević stated – only when the democratic development of our country reaches a level where we have a court with only domestic judges who have the references and credibility to make decisions based on the interpretation of the Constitution, not on the instructions of their political mentors.
He said that Marin Vukoja is a representative of HDZ BiH: „Dragan Čović is pushing him, and we will not vote for Marin Vukoja as long as Čović supports Milorad Dodik's unconstitutional actions“.
The president of NES also spoke about the government at the FBiH level – a negative assessment for the FBiH Parliament, the FBiH Government only fulfills wishes.
When it comes to events in September – unconstitutional actions must be resolved first, Ogrešević concluded.
