SIPA ANNOUNCES: Safes Searched and Blocked, Amount of Money in Suspended Transactions of Individuals Covered by Operation Known

(Patria) - The State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officially commented on yesterday's "Black Tie 2" operation.

"SIPA police officers yesterday, as part of the operational action 'BLACK TIE 2', which was carried out together with police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, took measures and actions within which they checked accounts in nine commercial banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina for eight legal and eight natural persons," the statement said.

They emphasize that within the undertaken measures and actions, temporary suspension of transactions was carried out for legal and natural persons in the total amount of 614,204.80 convertible marks, 23,906.44 euros, and 2,261.00 US dollars.

"During the work on the case, one safe was searched in one of the commercial banks, while another safe was blocked. This operational action includes several suspected natural and legal persons, and among those deprived of liberty are high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions suspected of criminal offenses of organized crime, money laundering, receiving gifts and other benefits, illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, and abuse of position or authority. Evidence from encrypted applications was collected during the work on the case," the statement said.
