Night swimming meet held at Otoka pool

(Patria) - With unique night super final races under the spotlight at the Olympic pool "Otoka" in Sarajevo, the fourth traditional international swimming meet "Restart 2023." has concluded.

Organized by swimming clubs SPID and Sport time, another fantastic sports event has concluded, where over 500 swimmers of all age categories competed over two days.

Participants of world and European championships, medal winners at some of the biggest international competitions, presented themselves to the Sarajevo public in the water.

"The best won, but inclusion also won. The best para-swimmers also competed. A message was sent to the world from Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that we are a country, a city, and clubs capable of organizing top-level sports events and bringing together some of the best athletes of today in one place. Thank you to all our guests, sponsors, congratulations to all medal winners, and see you in Sarajevo in 2024," said the organizers from Swimming Club SPID and Swimming Club Sport time.

Iman Avdić, a representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a member of Swimming Club Sport time, dominated the super final, winning the 50-meter freestyle, butterfly, and backstroke events. In the men's competition, Miloš Milenković (PK Budva) led in the 50-meter freestyle and butterfly. The best in the super final also included: Danis Harmandić (Orka Mostar), Lamija Čaušević (PK Sport time), Dino Hasibović Sirotanović (PK Bosna), Nikola Ljubisavljević (para-swimming team Serbia), and Elmedina Đocaj (PK SPID).

The international swimming meet "Restart 2023." was supported by Bh. telecom, the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, the City of Sarajevo, and the Olympic pool "Otoka."
