Landslides and floods in BiH claim at least 18 lives

(Patria) - The number of fatalities in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK), which was hit by catastrophic weather with landslides and flash floods last night and this morning, has risen to 16, the spokesperson for the HNK Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ljudevit Marić, confirmed for Faktor.

The largest number of victims is in Donja Jablanica, which was the hardest hit by this disaster.

Earlier, the HNK Government confirmed 14 deaths, and rescue teams later found two more bodies on the ground.

Also, two deaths have been officially confirmed in the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK) area, bringing the total number of officially confirmed fatalities to 18.

At the same time, a large number of people are considered missing, and it is feared that the death toll is even higher.
