They waived the fee: City of Sisak helps build Islamic Center

Construction of the Islamic Center with a mosque is soon to begin in the Caprag settlement in Sisak, which will be the central religious facility for around 2,000 Bosniaks in Sisak itself and for another approximately 2,500 Bosniaks in the Sisak-Moslavina County, writes the BH news agency Patria.

It is interesting that the City of Sisak waived the utility fee in this case, which is usually paid during the construction of facilities. The City of Sisak did this to help build the Islamic Center.

The contract for the construction of the Islamic Center was signed by the Mayor of Sisak, Kristina Ikić-Baniček, and the President of the Majlis of the Islamic Community of Sisak, Edin Safić.

The President of the Meshihat of the Islamic Community of Croatia, Aziz ef. Hasanović, officially opened Merhamet's public kitchen in Caprag, where about 50 socially vulnerable individuals will have a hot meal every day, as well as assistance with clothing, footwear, and medical care...

Merhamet in Sisak was founded in 2014, and during its year of operation, together with the Red Cross, it assisted those affected by floods in Gunja, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ef. Hasanović noted that a believer should not go to bed full if they know their neighbor is hungry, as this is one of the fundamental messages of Islam, writes NAP.
