One-month detention ordered for arrested RMU Banovići Director Rasim Dostović

(Patria) - The Special Department of the Supreme Court of FBiH, upon the proposal of the acting prosecutor, has ordered one-month detention for Rasim Dostović, the arrested director of RMU Banovići.

Dostović is charged with the criminal offense of accepting gifts and other benefits under Article 3880, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of FBiH, in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code of FBiH.

He is accused of demanding financial benefit for himself, exploiting the difficult financial situation of the public company Rudnik Banovići, as well as a large number of due but unpaid claims from suppliers, in order to, within his official duties, approve payments to a supplier for due but unpaid claims.

The investigation has established that the money in the amount of at least 45,000 KM, found with Dostović during the search, originates from the commission of the criminal offense of accepting gifts and other benefits.
